Beauty from Ashes 09/19/08

Dad went to the doctor with a side ache a few weeks ago. An X-Ray revealed that the pain was because of the cumulative effect of pain medication from his recent hip surgery but the doctor also saw a shadow on his lung and some fluid that he was concerned about. A biopsy was done of the spot and it is lung cancer ( Non-small cell lung carcinoma, Adenocarcinoma) The beauty in this? He has had no symptoms and so because of the side ache got the X-Ray which revealed the spot!
